Shrimad Ramayan full cast: The wait is finally over. Sony Entertainment Television has launched its newest property to spruce up the weekday programming. The mythological drama has replaced Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, taking the 9pm slot on the leading GEC.

As we embark upon a new year, Sony TV hs officially introduced the new show in its weekday programming. Ahead of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration, the channel is seeking the blessings of Shri Ram for guidance, prosperity, and fulfillment in our endeavors.

With the show, the makers promised to immerse the viewers in the sacred teachings of Shrimad Ramayan, embracing its profound wisdom and virtues. The much-awaited show will unfold the eternal saga of righteousness, courage, and compassion.

The official Instagram handle of Sony TV released a promo that captured the attention of the netizens. The promo trended for days before the official launch of the show on New Year 2024. Within a few minutes of launch, fans expressed their interest in watching the mytho-drama on Sony TV.

WHO IS PLAYING RAM IN SHRIMAD RAMAYAN?

Sujay Reu, who has featured in different serials, will be seen as Lord Ram in Shrimad Ramayan, which is the next big launch on Sony Entertainment Television. Sujay has played the lead roles in Ram Milaayi Jodi, Shashtri Sisters and Alaxmi: Hamari Super Bahu.

Sujay has a special connection with Ramayan as he played the role of Bharat in Ashish Sharma starrer Siya Ke Ram, which aired on Star Plus.

Essaying the role of Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shri Ram, Sujay Reu earlier said in a statement, "This promo beautifully captures the profound love and mutual reverence that define the relationship between Sita and Ram, adding a new depth of emotion to the retelling of this ageless narrative."

MEET PRACHI BANSAL- WHO IS PLAYING SITA IN SHRIMAD RAMAYAN?

Prachi Bansal, who is playing the role of Sita in Sony TV's Ramayan, expressed her gratitude on getting an opportunity to essay the lead role. She said in a statement that read, "I feel like I have manifested this role for myself, and this is a part that only a few actors are fortunate enough to play in their lifetime. We've grown up hearing stories of the Ramayan or different aspects of it, so the challenge is to bring this known story to life and aesthetically portray enduring love, steadfast loyalty, and unwavering faith that Ram and Sita are known and worshipped for."

After bagging the role of Lakhsman in the show, Basant said in a statement, "An embodiment of selfless service and sacrifice, Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Ram is extremely loyal and fiercely protective, he always puts the safety of Lord Ram and Sita above his own. This is the biggest role of my career, and I can't wait to usher in the new year with this show."

NIRBHAY WADHWA AS HANUMAN IN RAMAYAN

Nirbhay Wadhwa, who shot to fame after playing the role of Dushashan in Mahabharat, has been roped to play Lord Hanuman in Srimad Ramayan on Sony TV. He is keen to essay the iconic role once again for the second time in his career.

Nikitin Dheer will be seen as Ravana while Shilpa Saklani is playing the role of Kaikayi in the serial.
