Will Barsatein Go Off Air? Shivangi Joshi-Kushal Tandon's Show Get Extension? Confirmed Details

Barsatein off air date: Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon starrer has remained in the headlines in the past few weeks after rumours about the show ending surfaced on the internet. It was said that Mehndi Wala Ghar would replace Barsaatein Mausam Pyaar Ka on Sony TV in January 2024.

Considering Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon's sizzling chemistry, fans were worried if the duo's show would end. Fans are in love with the two TV stars as they have set the small screen on fire with their scorching on-screen romance.

There was a buzz that the serial would be pulled off air due to Kushal Tandon's unprofessionalism. However, there's no truth to the baseless conjecture.

IS BARSATEIN GOING OFF AIR IN FEBRUARY 2024?

Filmibeat had earlier shared an update about the programming line-up of Sony Entertainment Television. "The channel will rejig the programming with the launch of new shows in January and February 2024. While Shrimad Ramayan will telecast its first episode on January 1, Mehndi Wala Ghar will go on air mid-January," our khabri said.

"Contrary to the rumours about Barsatein ending due to Kushal Tandon's unprofessionalism, the show is under the scanner due to low TRPs. After a good start, somehow the romantic drama lost the plot and witnessed a drop in numbers. This is the reason why Barsatein is expected to go off air," the source had added.

However, there's good news for the fans of the show as it is not ending soon.

BARSATEIN GETS EXTENSION, STILL UNDER THE SCANNER

"Barsatein is performing quite well on SonyLIV. While the numbers are down, the channel has given the show a short extension. If it picks up pace, it will continue to entertain the masses; otherwise, it will face the axe soon," an industry source quipped.

Mehendi Wala Ghar will take the prime time slot of 9:30pm on the leading GEC. The show starring Karan Mehra and Shruti Anand is not replacing Barsatein. However, there are chances that Zaan Khan and Meera Deosthale starrer Ek Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Bhi will either push Barsatein or Dabangii to a non-prime time slot from next month.
