Comedian and actress Mallika Dua will be seen on-screen soon, as the second season of the web series The Trip 2 is already in the making. The series stars Mallika Dua, Lisa Haydon, Shweta Tripathi and Sapna Pabbi. Talking about the bond Mallika formed with her co-stars, she told IANS in a statement that she is very picky about making friends. But, she said that she's lucky to have been a part of The Trip series, as she got to be friends with Shweta, Lisa and Sapna.
Mallika Doesn't Make Many Friends
The actress said, "I don't make too many friends and I am very particular about the friends that I make. But, some of the best friendships that I have in life are ones that I made through theater or work." Mallika further added, "I am eternally grateful for both 'Trip' season 1 and 2 because the kind of sisterhood and bonding that I have with Shweta, Sapna and Lisa (Haydon) and now Amyra Dastur is something that you don't really get to experience."
She Misses Shweta Already!
Mallika said actors don't get to go to office every day, which would help one form bonds with people around over a period of time. It's the projects they take up that bring the actors together and lead to friendship. The actress seems to have gotten too close to Shweta Tripathi as she said, "It's been already few days since we wrapped but I miss them already especially Shweta."
Shweta Tripathi Defines Friendship
Talking about meeting amazing friends through the show The Trip, Shweta Tripathi was quoted as saying, "Friend - just the word brings a smile to my face. They make our lives complete. The 'Trip' story started with a story of friends but none of us ever thought that we'll become that close in our 'real' lives as well. We all are on each other's instant dial now."
Season 2 Will Be Out Soon
The first season of The Trip revolved around the lives of 4 girls who are childhood friends and decide to go on a road trip from India to Thailand to throw a bachelorette party for their best friend who gets engaged to be married soon. However, the story takes a leap and emotions get involved, taking the girls on a roller-coaster ride. The season 2 of The Trip will be available on the Bindaas Platform in September.
