Netflix Moves Forward With Sacred Games; Clears Anurag, Vikramaditya & Varun For The Next Season
Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Varun Grover for the next season of Sacred Games. Netflix made the statement after independent investigation.
The co-directors of hit series Sacred Games, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane were accused of inaction, when Vikas Bahl was caught in sexual harassment allegations. Their production house Phaton films was dissolved and future of Sacred Games and its association with the International streaming site Netflix was questioned. However, after 'independent investigation', Netfix has cleared the series for the next season.

The statement by Netflix read, "After an independent investigation, the results helped inform Netflix's decision to continue with Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap on season 2 of Sacred Games. We continue to collaborate with our production partners to ensure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment."
Besides Vikas, the writer of Sacred Games ,Varun Grover too was accused of sexual harassment during his tenure in college. However, he denied any allegation made against him. Netflix has now announced that Varun Grover will continue working in the second season of Sacred Games.
Scared Games is Netflix's first Indian original series, that gained popularity not only in India, but across the globe. It was highly appreciated and criticized, with a rating of over 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. The consensus said, "Gorgeous, grim, and unexpected, Sacred Games is saved from its procedural premise by its dense plotting and superb cast."
