Shaan Groverr Doesn’t Relate To His Character Rishi

Shaan Groverr is playing the role of Rishi in Roohaniyat. His character is shown cheating on his girlfriend played by Kanika Mann. When asked how much does he relate to his character, Shaan said, "Zero. Not even a single bit, that's the funny part. Rishi is so different from me in so many ways but that's where the challenge came in and made me like him even more. Maybe the only commonality would be that he's just as foolish and confused as I am. So I'm glad that the audiences will get to see me play a character poles apart from my original self."

Shaan On His Experience Working With Kanika And Arjun

While sharing his experience working with Kanika Mann and Arjun Bijlani, Shaan Groverr said, "Oh Kanika is a sweetheart. She's truly a wonderful human being. Our scenes were a cakewalk for both of us, as they didn't take much time and they used to be super fun. I hope the audience like our scenes. I only have one scene with Arjun unfortunately, but we got some time to spend together in our Mahabaleshwar schedule. He's also pretty chill and a very giving actor with tons of experience of course. I've always been a great fan of his body of work in TV."

Is Roohaniyat A Family Show? Shaan Groverr Answers

Shaan has 2-3 kissing scenes in the web series. Hence, many netizens think that Roohaniyat is not a family show. When asked about the same, the actor said that it is completely a family show. "Yes absolutely, Roohaniyat is a show that you can watch with your entire family. As the name suggests, it's love that binds the show. It doesn't go beyond the kissing and in my opinion, that's the least you can do to show a couple's physical intimacy. After all, it's primarily a romantic show mixed with some thrills to keep you on the edge of the seat," he added.

Shaan Groverr On Kissing On-Screen For The First Time

Shaan Groverr was quite nervous before shooting the kissing scene for the first time in his career. When asked if he was apprehensive to do it, the actor said, "I was not apprehensive but how can one not be shy with kissing scenes especially when they are new. When you know that your family, friends and relatives will be watching it even more eagerly now. (laughs) I was a little tense though as it was my very first day of shoot for Roohaniyat and also my first day of shoot with Arushi. We hadn't interacted much with each other at that time. But we became good friends later. So now when we look back at it, we wished that scene wasn't kept on the first day itself instead later in the schedule."

What Is Love For Shaan Groverr?

Roohaniyat is all about love and passion. When asked the definition of love for Shaan Groverr in real-life, he said, "I believe in love. (laughs) If that's what you're asking. To love someone and be loved by them is probably the best thing in the world. (laughs) It keeps you sane. It keeps you grounded. I feel love has its own calling and it does find you when the time is right."
