69th National Film Awards: The National Film Awards was declared in New Delhi during a press meet on Thursday.

This prestigious award, organized by the National Film Development Corporation of India, is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the finest achievements in Indian cinema. The 69th National Film Awards for the year 2021 were originally scheduled for May 3, 2022; however, the awards ceremony faced delays due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

S. S. Rajamouli's Epic Action Drama Secures Major Honors

The Telugu-language epic action drama film "RRR," directed by S. S. Rajamouli, emerged victorious at the 69th National Film Awards, securing a total of six prestigious awards. "RRR" won the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

M M Keeravani's outstanding work in the field of music direction earned the film the "Best Music Director (Background Score)" award. Meanwhile, Keeravani's son Kalabhairava won the best playback singer award for the song "Komuram Bheemudo" from 'RRR.'

The film's awe-inspiring action sequences were recognized with the "Best Action Direction" award, attributed to King Solomon. The captivating choreography in "RRR" was acknowledged with the "Best Choreography" award, presented to Prem Rakshit. Additionally, the film's visual grandeur was brought to life with remarkable finesse, leading to the "Best Special Effects" award, credited to V Srinivas Mohan. The triumph of "RRR" at the National Film Awards showcases its excellence in multiple facets of filmmaking, adding to its acclaim as a monumental cinematic achievement.
