Prabhas Starrer Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire's Release Date Postponed
The buzz surrounding the film's theatrical release is reaching fever pitch, and the makers of this action thriller have officially updated details about its release date. Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire is planned for a grand theatrical release in five major Indian languages, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience. However, fans will have to wait a little longer for its release, leading to a sense of disappointment.
In a statement, Hombale Films, headed by Vijay Kiragandur, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support for Salaar. They announced the postponement of the film's original release date, September 28, citing unforeseen circumstances. The decision to delay the release was made with great care, as the team is committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. The new release date will be revealed in due course, and fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates on Salaar Ceasefire's final touches.
Salaar TV & Digital Rights Sold
In other news, Salaar's satellite rights have been acquired by Star TV for a record-breaking price. Star TV secured the rights for all five languages in which Salaar will be released: Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. Additionally, Netflix has acquired the digital rights for all five languages, also setting a record with its deal.
The combined sale of satellite, digital, and audio rights has reportedly fetched the makers a staggering Rs. 350 crore, making it one of the highest non-theatrical deals in the industry. This exceptional achievement follows the success of Hombale Films' previous venture, KGF: Chapter 2, which also commanded a record price for its non-theatrical rights.
Why Is Salaar Postponed?
The decision to postpone Salaar's release is believed to be due to the filmmakers' desire to shoot a special dance number featuring a star actress alongside Prabhas. This dance sequence is a key feature of Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire. Following Prabhas' knee surgery and subsequent recovery, the shooting for this song may not have been possible within the original schedule. The director, Prashanth Neel, is determined to deliver a top-notch product and doesn't want to compromise on any aspect, especially when it involves Prabhas and Salaar.
