Agent OTT Release Date: For a year, Akhil Akkineni's 'Agent' OTT release date remained uncertain, leaving audiences in suspense. Questions arose regarding its actual release on OTT platforms, creating anticipation. Finally, recent reports suggest clarity on the film's awaited release date.

The latest reports indicate that Akhil's film 'Agent' will soon arrive on OTT. Sources mention that the movie will premiere on Sonyliv this month, specifically on the 26th.

This film is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. There's anticipation for an official announcement from Sonyliv regarding 'Agent's OTT release date, expected soon.

Earlier, Sonyliv officially announced the OTT release date for Akhil's movie twice but faced delays due to legal issues.The obstacle stemmed from a legal dispute initiated by distributor Battula Satyanarayana based in Visakhapatnam. He had obtained rights for distributing the movie in Telugu states and claimed the film's unavailability across regions. Producer Anil Sunkara allegedly declined compensation for the incurred losses.

The delay in the OTT release is rumoured to be linked to the ongoing case. Additionally, numerous alterations are reportedly being made in the OTT version compared to its theatrical counterpart, potentially causing the delay in the release date.

Agent Cast And Crew

Surender Reddy directed 'Agent,' a spy-action film produced with a budget of approximately eighty crores. Despite high anticipation over its nearly two-year production, the movie, released on April 28 last year, disappointed at the box office, earning only eight crores. This setback resulted in significant losses for the producers, attributed to the film's lack of originality in storytelling. Vakkantham Vamsi crafted the movie's storyline, and despite Akhil's dedicated efforts, the film failed to yield favourable results.

Mammootty, a legendary actor, assumes a pivotal role in the spy-action thriller 'Agent.' The film revolves around key characters - RAW chief Major Mahadev, portrayed by Mammootty as 'The Devil,' Akhil Akkineni's Ramakrishna as 'Wild Sala,' and Dino Morea's Dharma as 'The God.' While it's an action-packed thriller, 'Agent' intertwines elements of romance and sentimentality into its narrative.
