Salaar 2 Update: The team behind Prabhas' upcoming film "Salaar 2" has refuted rumours about delays in the sequel's production. They confirmed that filming for " Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryaanga Parvam" will begin at the end of the month, with a major announcement expected in the coming days.

Speculation had suggested that director Prashanth Neel might start his next project with Jr. NTR before the "Salaar" sequel. Jr. NTR and Neel's collaboration for "NTR 31" has generated substantial excitement among their fans. Although this film was initially set to begin production after "Salaar," recent developments indicate that the sequel might take priority.

Following the success of the first "Salaar" film, the makers are reportedly keen to move forward with the sequel as quickly as possible. They aim to leverage the strong interest in the sequel to deliver another hit at the box office.

Earlier reports suggested that both Jr. NTR and the production company Mythri Movie Makers requested Neel to begin work on "NTR 31" first, due to concerns about the extensive time required to complete the Prabhas-starring sequel. However, Neel believes that he could utilise the time waiting for Jr. NTR's availability (due to his current projects "Devara" and "War 2") to work on "Salaar 2" instead.

Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire

The epic action film "Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire," directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, was released on December 22, 2023. The movie features a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu, among others. Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, where a monarchy still prevails, the story centres on the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), the exiled prince of Khansaar, and Varadha (Prithviraj), the current prince. Varadha seeks Deva's assistance when his father's ministers and relatives plot a coup d'état against him, aiming to make Varadha the undisputed ruler of Khansaar. In January 2024, producer Vijay Kiragandur announced that the sequel's script was complete, with the release planned for the second half of 2025.
