Salaar OTT Release: "Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire" is an epic Telugu action film from 2023, written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur. The film features a stellar cast led by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, supported by talented actors such as Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raju.
Taking place in the imagined dystopian city-state of Khansaar, the story revolves around the bond between Deva (Prabhas), a tribesman, and Varadha (Prithviraj), the prince of Khansaar. Faced with a planned coup d'état orchestrated by his father's ministers and relatives, Varadha seeks Deva's assistance in his quest to establish himself as the unchallenged ruler of Khansaar.
The initial concept for the film originated from Neel's debut work, Ugramm (2014), and it serves as the first installment in a two-part film series. The movie was announced in December 2020, followed by the commencement of principal photography in January 2021 around Godavarikhani, Telangana. Ravi Basrur composed the music for the movie, and Bhuvan Gowda handled the cinematography.
