Popular character artist Srihari has starred as hero in several Telugu movies, and as lead actor, his last outing is Bhairava, which featured him as ACP Bhaira. It was a good entertainer with a beautiful message to the viewers. The Telugu actor is back as hero and his latest movie Bakara is a commercial entertainer with all masala elements to impress the mass.
Bakara is a comedy film and Srihari is the main attraction in it. The perfect comedy timing of Ali, Brahmanandham, MS Narayana, Raghu Babu, Dharmavaraopu and Tanikella Bharani is another big highlight in the movie. Rohith RK's music and Vijaya Sri's picturisation and CSR Krishnan's funny dialogues are its other strengths.
Besides direction, CSR Krishnan has also written story, screenplay dialogues and he done a commendable job in all these departments. The director has chosen a simple story, which replicates the situations taking place currently. His narration is fast and engaging and surely makes you watch it without taking a break.
Mumbai don Baba Bhai (Srihari) is an orphan, who is involved in land mafia. His eyes fall on Anathashram in Hyderabad. In a bid to take over the land, he reaches the place, which is an accommodation for many orphan people. Will he takeover the place? Will his character really change? Will he become a good person? Answer to these questions forms the rest of the story.
Srihari has given good performance in the movie Bakara. His style, makeup and costume makes him look young and dashing. Yashika has nothing much to do in the movie Bakara and she fills the glamour slot. She looks cute. Brahmanandham, Ali, Thanikella Bharani, Konda Valasa, Raallapalli, Dharmavaraopu, Pradeep, Naveen, Pavan, Krithika have also given good performance in their respective roles.
Rohith RK's music is the main highlight in the technical front and his compositions like item song 'Gulabi Jilebi' and title track 'Nuvvokka Bakara' are trendy and good to listen. Vijaya Sri's camera work is another plus point of the movie. Especially in the song sequences, he has done good work. Vivek's art direction, CSR Krishnan's dialogues, selection of costumes, makeup and editing works are also commendable.
Overall, Bakara is a good comedy entertainer. If you are looking for a time-pass film, this movie is for you.
