The term love has no colour, taste or smell. Director Surya Kiran has tried to explain the colour of love. He has equated different emotions in love to various colours and brought out a film called chapter 6. He has put his best efforts to portray different emotions of youth in general and lovers in particular. However, the film appeared to be too confusing. The first half tests the patience of audience and by the time the audiences get clarity the film is almost done and the climax is hurriedly bundled.
Satyabhama (Kalyani) is an orphan and she loves her roommate. and treats as her sister. She commits suicide and reveals the reason in a letter. Satyabhama lodges a complaint and finds that a police inspector is trying to save the accused. She captures both the police officer Suryam and the accused and get both of them arrested. Fearing attack by goons, the hostel warden (Sakuntala) sends her away from Hyderabad to Vizag. After reaching Vizag, Stayabhama gets a job in a chit fund company. She gets a house at cheaper rent, as the owner (Kota Srinivasa Rao) could not get his son Satyamurthy (Haranath) married.
However, love generates between Satyabhama and Satyamurthy and they get married. At this juncture, the chit fund company turns the board and Satyabhama, who was the general manager caught in a fix. This time, Suryam is the sub-inspector of II Town Police Station of Vizag and he wants to take revenge against Satyabhama. Suryam summons the couple and tortures Satyamurthy for three days. during interrogation, Suryam bangs Satyabhama to the wall and she becomes unconscious. Fearing that she is dead, Suryam throws her body into the sea. but some fishermen rescue her. Will she get back her memory? what happend to her husband? what role does Bala and Sonia Suri play in the film? answer to all these questions should be seen on-screen.
