<i>Akshaya</i> shooting in progress

The shooting of a movie directed by Jitender Y and produced by Ponnamaneni Venkateswara Rao on the banner of Akshaya Films with Raja, Poonam Bajwa and Anu Mehta in the lead and K Viswanath playing a key role is progressing at a fast pace in various locations at Hyderabad. Producer Venkateswara Rao says, 'It is a film with a family backdrop which has relations, relationships, love and attachment. The film highlights the human relations and its greatness which are on the wane in the society. It is my first venture as producer. I entered the film industry not just with a profit motto but with a specific aim to give some message to the society. The hero's character in our film reflects moral values and the villain's role would also be something special.

Raja says, 'I am playing the role of a youth who acts with complete justification and the artiste in me was projected in a novel angle. The film would show how should be the relation between a father and a son.' Writer VSP Tenneti says, 'The film is being made with a specific planning and it would definitely captivate the audience mood'. Director Jitender says, 'We have got a good story and its movement would be enchanting to all classes of audiences. Raja's character would be in a new dimension and Poonam had got a lot scope to perform, while K Viswanath's role would remain a highlight.' K Viswanath says, 'I am playing a character which gives an artiste an immense satisfaction. My role is a modern grandfather, who could understand the heartbeat of the present generation.'
