Cricketer Anil Kumble enters films

Noted leg spinner Anil Kumble is all set to enter films. He is playing a role in a Hindi film Meerabhai Not Out. Chandrakant Kulkarni is directing the film to be produced by Preetish Nandi.

Mandira Bedh, who had earlier attracted the attention of all the cricket lovers with her anchoring in World Cup Cricket and played extra-innings, is playing a key role in this film. Mandira Bedi's husband Raj Kaushal is taking up the responsibility of executive production Earlier he had directed Anthony Kaun Hai. Anupam Kher, Mahesh Manjrekar, Izaz Khan and others are in the cast.

'The film which is going to sets in the last week of December is planned for release before the Cricket World Cup next year. The film runs with cricket as its backdrop and revolves around big cricket fans like Mandira Bedi,' says the director.
