Balakrishna as Okka Magadu

Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the role of Okka Magadu in a film of the same name under the Bommarillu Banner. The film will be presented by Yalamanchili Geeta. It will be spearheaded by Y.V.S.Chowdhary who will direct it and prduce it. The shooting will be completed starting from the middle of October to February in one schedule. Formally the shooting kicked of in Annavaram Sree Satyanaryana Swami temple on August 28th. The muhurtam shot was taken on the backdrop of Gaaligopuram with photos of the goddess kept on the steps of the temple.

Y.V.S.Chowdhary gave the clap and his mother Yalamanchili Ratna Kumari has switched on camera for the second shot shot in Tirumala hills. On this occasion, Y.V.S.Chowdhary said that there is a very big association of the relation of the Bommarillu Banner with Annavaram Satyanarayana Swami and Tirumala Venkateswara Swami. All muhurtam shots and discussions for our Bommarilu banner films like Lahiri Lahiri Lahiri lo , Seethaiah, Devadasu was done in Annavaram and Tirumala only. These films gave so much credit to the banner . For him as a director, he said that he believes in god for his success as is the tradition for Okka Magadu. Manisharma's music direction for this film is as usual-out of this world. Hero Balakrishna has showed his flamboyant style in his dialogue delivery, walking style, dance movements and fights in different way in all scenes.

Two young heroines are acting in this film and they will attract the audiences, especially the youth. All high calibre technicians in Telugu industry are working for this film. This film will release on April 28th and will undoubtedly prove 2007 summer's sensational hit. "I have full confidence on this film", Executive producer Kommineni Venkateswara Rao said as this is the first film bringing together Balakrishna and Y.V.S.Chowdhary.
