Mamata Mohandas as <i>Pokiri Pilla</i>

A successful Malayalam film Lanka is being dubbed into Telugu as Pokiri Pilla by Harish Reddy on the banner of Dhruti Cinema. The film has Suresh Gopi and Mamata Mohandas in the lead and was made with real life incidents in Sri Lanka. Producer Harish Reddy says, 'Our Army went to Sri Lanka to check the atrocities by Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, while Rajiv Gandhi was the prime minister. The team was named Indian Peace Keeping Force. An incident that occurred during the operation was extraordinarily moulded on the screen by director AK Sajan. The characters of hero Suresh Gopi and heroine Mamata Mohandas have equal importance in this film. In fact, the entire story revolves round the heroine. That is why we titled the film as Pokiri Pilla. Dubbing works are going on at a fast pace. We will release the audio on November 20 and the film on December 1.' Dialogues are by Rajasekhar Reddy, lyrics are by Vennelakanti and music is by Srinivas.
