Manoj starts his latest flick

Manojkumar, son of Mohanbabu, who made his debut with Donga-Dongadi is getting ready for another film now. To be directed by Surya Kiran of Satyam-fame, the film would be presented by M Nirmala and produced by Mohanbabu himself on the banner of Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. The shooting of the film began amidst many prominent film personalities at Annapurna Studios on December 7. Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Dr D Ramanaidu, D Sureshbabu, K Raghavendra Rao, SS Rajamouli, Dasarath, Sreenu Vytla, Vishnu and others participated in the programme. K Raghavendra Rao gave the clap, Balakrishna switched on the camera for the muhurat shot under the honorary direction of SS Rajamouli. Earlier, director B Gopal, Raja Vannemreddy, Dasaratha, Ramprasad and Sekhar Suri gave away the script to Suryakiran.

Mohanbabu says, 'We are remaking a successful Tamil film Chittiram Pesudadi. We made certain changes to suit the Telugu nativity. We will soon announce the heroine's name. The regular shooting would begin from January and would continue without any break. We will complete the post-production formalities in March and are planning to release in April. The shooting was planned at Hyderabad, Tirupati, Chenai, Ooty, Visakhapatnam and Araku.

Surya Kiran says, 'I thank Mohanbabu for giving me a good opportunity to direct a hit film. It is a love story that would touch the hearts of audiences. Besides, there is a scope for good action and performance.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is providing tunes. Giribabu, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, Ali, Sunil, Mallikarjuna Rao, Venumadhav, Rajiv Kanakala, Dandayudhapani, Supreet, Saranya and others are in the cast. Story is by Miskin, dialogues are by M Ratnam, lyrics are by Suddala Ashokteja, Bhaskarabhatla, Ramajogaiah Sastry, camera is by Prasad Murella, editing is by Gauthamraju and action is by Ram-Lakshman.
