Daler sings for Yamadonga

The shooting of Yamadonga directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Cherry and Urmila Gunnam on the banner of Viswamitra Creations is progressing well. It features Jr. NTR, Priyamani and Mamata Mohandas in the lead roles. However, the speciality of the film is that popular Bhangra singer Daler Mehndi has rendered a song "Nuvvante Padi Chasta" for the movie.

It may be mentioned that Daler Mehndi created a Bhangra hangama some 10 years ago in India. Especially his Punjabi tunes, "Bolo Tararara", "Dardi Rab Rab", "Ho Jaayegi Balle Balle" and "Tunak Tunak" are still very popular. Later, Daler rendered songs for several Bollywood films too. However, this would be the first-ever song sung by Daler Mehendi in a south Indian language. Speaking on the occasion, music director Keeravani said, "There are lakhs of Daler Mehndi fans across the world. I am just one of them."
