Chiru's father passed away

Padma Bhushan, Megastar, Dr Chiranjeevi's father, Konidela Venkat Rao, 70, died of illness in Hyderabad. He was survived by his wife his wife, three sons Chiranjeevi, Nagendrababu and Pawan Kalyan, and two daughters Vijaya Madhavi&Durga in his own residence at Plot No 161 in MLA Colony of Jubilee Hills.

Venkat Rao is reportedly suffering from heart ailment for the past some time and was admitted to Apollo Hospital recently. After the doctors satisfied with his health condition, he was recently discharged from the hospital. However, he suffered a stroke in the morning and breathed his last. All his three sons were in the city.

Several prominent film personalities including Dr Brahmanandam, K Raghavendra Rao, MS Reddy, Ramanaidu and Balakrishna visited Venkat Rao's residence and paid tributes to the departed soul. The entire film industry expressed its heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family.
