Simran has begun her second innings in films. She is acting with Balakrishna for Okka Mogadu. She is also playing the lead in John Apparao 40+ with Krishna Bhagavan as the hero.

Simran says that she liked the story very much and she is also a friend of KuchipudiVenkat. She has no inhibitions working with small actors. Even on item songs, she says that as long as they are not vulgar, she is game for items songs. She did an item song with Chiranjeevi, Prabhas and now with Kalyan Ram in Vijayadasami.
