There was no actress to take Simran's place in South Indian cinema at one point of time. She made her acting debut in Bollywood and then took Kollywood by storm. She took film lovers for ride for many years with her looks before going reclusive after her marriage. She has once again thrown up a surprise to everyone by getting back into films. This is not the end of her journey. She is looking at a different direction and that is to get into film direction in the future.
This pretty lass is currently acting in Telugu film Okka Magadu, which is being written, produced and directed by Y.V.S. Chowdary. It has actor Balakrishna, Anushka Shetty and Nisha Kothari in the lead roles. She has also taken up a new Malayalam. With things turning out right, her plan of film direction doesn't seem to be far off.
Keep your head up Simran!
