Sheela grumbles for not getting offers

While everyone maintains that Parugu has done exceedingly well, there is another faction that says it has not done as well as has been publicised. There will always be at least one or two malcontents to spoil any party. But in this case, it is the lead actress who is miffed. Why, you may ask, as Sheela was given a very girl-next-door character with plenty of scope for emoting.

The reason, she revealed recently, was that no producers are approaching her with plum offers! She grumbles that though she is ready to adopt the glam doll act like other upcoming heroines, the only roles she gets are those that require her to pose as a demure Bharati nari.

For most Indian actresses, the fastest way of zooming to the coveted top spot is to go the glamorous way. Only one or two actresses like Sneha, Bhumika and a few others have been able to project a demure image and get to be top heroines.
