No similarities between Arya and Arya-2?

The sequel of Arya, tentatively titled Arya-2, featuring Allu Arjun in the same role as in the original, is progressing on schedule in Hyderabad. Sukumar, who directed the first Arya, is again the director with Navadeep and Shraddha Das in supporting roles.

V. Aditya Babu and Bhogavalli Prasad are producing the film under Aditya Arts banner. The producer plans to send the unit to some picturesque foreign locales very soon. Director Sukumar said, "There will be no similarities between the prequel and the sequel. Only the characters of Arya, Ajay and Gita will be present with the same characteristics as in the first film. However, the story and its movement will be entirely different."

Arya brought Allu Arjun to the attention of Telugu youths. It now remains to be seen whether the sequel will outstrip the original's box-office performance.
