Raja, the Prince in Jagan Mohini

The remake of Vithalacharya's popular film Jagan Mohini was taken up by H Murali on the banner of Murali Cine Arts under the direction of NK Viswanathan, with Raja, Namitha and Meera Chopra in the lead. The producer is making it a heavy budget movie and it is being made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages. The shooting of the film is going on at a brisk pace. Very recently a song was canned on Raja, Namita and Meera Chopra in Hyderabad. Besides, some key scenes were shot on Kota Srinivasa Rao, Riyaz Khan and Narasimha Raju. Presently the film is shooting at Talakona, Puttur and their surrounding areas. The unit would leave for Rameswaram by the end of September.Producer commented, "The film is being made very well. Especially, there is very good scope for graphics." Raja said, "I am playing in a folk movie for the first time. My role in this movie is that of a prince. My get-up, histrionics, walking and style would be very different. The film would remain a different movie in my career." Ilayaraja scored music for the flick and it would definitely remain a highlight. Dialogues are by Vennelakanti, while camera, screenplay and direction are by NK Viswanathan.
