Mamta succeeds Trishna to court King

Nagarjuna-starrer King is progressing briskly with its shooting schedule. It has completed one song and two stunt sequences along with a major portion of the 'talkie' scenes. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, the movie is being produced by Siva Prasad Reddy under Kamakshi Movies. While it was already known that Trisha is playing Nagarjuna's love interest, the unit has now announced that Mamta Mohandas will be the other female lead.

Mamta Mohandas, already having made waves with her performance in Homam, will now be outclassing her own performance with a song sequence in King, said insiders. A song and stunt sequence will be shot in Goa starting from September 28th. Thereafter, the film"s unit will move to the Bangalore Palace to film some important scenes that will star about forty artistes.

Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan have worked hard on writing a tailor-made script for Nag that will be a surefire hit. The film is planned to release on December 18th.
