On Tuesday, furious Telugu film personalities demanded that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister mayawati,vv vinayak should apologise Telugu actors within 48 hours for making derogatory comments about actors. Addressing a press conference, filmmaker V Prasad said that she had insulted actors and should tender an apology within 48 hours.

On Sunday, while addressing a public meeting, mayawati,vv vinayak snubbed film actors, who were planning to join politics. Indirectly, she was referring to Telugu actor Chiranjeevi, who is planning to enter Andhra Pradesh politics. She said that film actors could not do any social service, but could only sing and dance.
