Nagarjuna to act in historical film

With the success of his two devotional movies, Nagarjuna is thinking about a historical flick. According to insiders, director Gunasekhar approached Nagarjuna with Gona Gannareddy"s story based on the novel written by the legendary writer Adavi Bapiraju. Nagarjuna is reported to have shown interest in the character.

Reports say that it is quite difficult for the project to materialize in the near future as Nagarjuna is busy with his own schedule. Currently, he is doing a film under Kamaskhi Movies banner directed by Sreenu Vaitla for which the script is being written and pooja was performed on April 30th. Several films were officially launched that day without much hype, as this is the last auspicious day for a film pooja until August.

Kamakshi films will start shooting very soon. Then Nag will team up with director Lawrence, who is currently busy with Pardhu (bi-lingual). All this means that any project with a historical backdrop will have to wait until Nag"s current commitments are wrapped up.
