Neninthe gets free publicity from protests

By Staff

Neninthe, directed by Puri Jagannath, produced by D.V.V. Danayya, starring Ravi Teja and debutante Siya, was released on December 18, 2008. The movie's posters while creative and alluring have also raised the hackles of several women's organizations. The activists of these women's organizations claim that the posters showing Ravi Teja and Siya (scantily clad) in intimate poses are insulting to the common women.

These activists have warned the producer and director that if the offensive hoardings are not removed immediately, then they will be forced to intensify their agitation and also, they would not allow any theatre to screen the movie.

These protests have generated free publicity for the movie, but it remains to be seen if the film's makers withdraw the provocative posters and hoardings.
