Pandurangadu bags double platinum disc

Actor Balakrishna starrer movie Pandurangadu has bagged double platinum. The movie is directed by K Raghavendra Rao and produced by K Krishnamohana Rao under the banner of RK Film Associates, disc. Keeravani scored music for the film. A grand function was arranged at Prasad Preview Theatre in Hyderabad to mark the occasion, in which Dr D Ramanaidu, Ramesh Prasad, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, B Gopal, VV Vinayak, R Narayana Murthy, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Gopalakrishna, Sekhar Kammula, Radhakrishna of Gamyam-fame, MVS Haranatha Rao and members of the film unit participated.

Speaking on the occasion, Balakrishna said, "These days the life of human beings is turning mechanical. They are totally ignoring entertainment and the only way to provide that rare commodity is cinema. Lyrical values are very rare during these days. But this film is an exception to it. Keeravani gave melodious tunes to all the songs and the director moulded the film in an extraordinary manner. I vow that I will continue to remain an actor till my last breath."

Balasubrahmanyam said, "I always like to sing songs, which have good literary values with a good meaning. Keeravani tuned the songs in such a way that each and every word in the song can be heard clearly. He made me practice the song before going for recording." Unable to control his emotion, Balasubrahmanyam kissed Raghavendra Rao on the dais, in a thankful gesture.

Keeravani said, "Some invisible power helped me in praying Lord Ranganatha to condone my mistakes if any through my tunes."

R Narayana Murthy said, "This film is a must see for everyone as it gives a message that the parents of the living gods for everyone."

Paruchuri Brothers chaired the meeting, while others spoke. The film is slated for release on May 28.
