Prakash Raj and Trisha are playing the father and daughter in a bilingual film to be directed by Radha Mohan. While the Telugu version is named Aakasamanta with a tag line 'I Love My Daughter', the Tamil version is titled Abhiyum Nanum. The Telugu version is being produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations with Anita as the presenter and Sirish and Lakshman as co-producers.

Speaking on the occasion, Dil Raju said, "Like all our films which were brought under our banner earlier, this movie would also enthrall the family and young audiences. We are planning to release the Tamil version in the first week of December, while the Telugu version would hit the screen in the last week of December. Vidyasagar has scored beautiful tunes for the flick."

Prakash Raj commented, 'I played the role of a father, who is very friendly towards his daughter. It is the story of a father and daughter. How a father would grow mentally along with his daughter is the subject. The film would have lot of honour towards the women. Trisha has played a great role which has lot of scope for performance. She has become very slim for this film to sport a school uniform in some scenes. The film is being brought out with a good taste and it is being brought out with lot of responsibility."

Trisha remarked, "I am very happy for playing a role in this film which has lots of scope for performance. It would definitely be a different movie in my career. I thank Prakash Raj for giving me an opportunity in this film. All those who like love and affection would definitely love this film."
