Pro Telugu Org's first SPARC session on foreign soil

Pro Telugu Organization (chiruforap.com) organised SPARC (Socio-Political Analysis and Research Center) brainstorming sessions in Detroit, Michigan, USA on 17th May 2008. SPARC made its presence for the first time in foreign soil kicking off its session in Detroit, USA. SPARC sessions have been scheduled to be held in Washington DC, Dallas, Bay Area, Atlanta and other places in USA in the next one month.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Nagendra Babu spoke live on teleconference lauded the efforts of Pro Telugu Organization in organizing the SPARC sessions across US. In a video message recorded in Hyderabad just hours before the start of the meeting was screened for the audience. In his video message, Mr Nagendra Babu remembered the great efforts of Mahatma Gandhi, his South Africa visit and how he changed the nation after returning to India. He stressed the need of NRIs in shaping up the future in Andhra Pradesh.

Pro Telugu Org. Vice President Mr. Suresh Somisetty started the sessions welcoming the Chief Guest and the other participants. In a video message Dr. Mithra welcomed the Detroit gathering and appreciated the NRIs interest in AP. He assured that a something in writing is clearly on the wall and a New force with new polity and new leader is soon going to emerge in the political horizon to light up the political skies of the state to bring the change the people lived for the past 60 years.

In another video message from Dr. K Nageshwar, Political Analyst that NRIs contribution to the state is in urgent need. He went onto express that India is unable to attract foreign investment as neighboring country China did. Speaking on the education system, he told that the present system is unable to provide adequate minimum facilities like buildings for schools, toilet facilities, water, chairs, tables, text books and other education materials. Andhra Pradesh is still industrially backward when compared to other states and stressed the need for development of more industries. He mentioned that our state has got lot of human resources potential which should be properly utilized so that it can compete with any other country in the world. He told that NRIs should do research and analyze one's own home district of what potential resources are available and can be developed. He concluded the speech if this progress cannot be achieved our future generations will sure curse us.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest, Cine Hero, Producer, Neurologist Dr. Haranath Policherla spoke on Social Change and NRIs role, Education and health care system in AP, NRIs role in integrated development.

Founder and Chief Secretary of Pro Telugu Org. Mr. Ram Tatineni related his experiences in the Maha Yatra organized from Tirupathi to Srikakulam during the March 2008.

Mr. Prasad Lokam, Mr. Srudhar Bandaru and other prominent intellectuals spoke on the occasion, followed by slide show of the events and activities in USA and Maha Yatra photo show.

Pro Telugu Org. Media Secretary Mr. Rao Siddam thanked all the guests and members who attended the session.
