Raasi to play mother of Sriram

Actress Raasi made her debut into films as child artist. Later, she turned a heroine and paired with several heroes. She got married recently and was off the screen in the recent past. She appeared on the small screen to anchor a show for some time and gave it off too. She had put up lots of weight after getting married. She stooped to the level of playing item numbers and also played a vamp kind of role in Teja's Nijam.

Recently, she invested a lot of money to co-produce a film Maharajasri introducing her husband Nivas as director and suffered huge loss. As her financial position became very weak, she had decided to accept any role that was offered to her.

According to reliable information from Film Nagar sources, she signed for a Tamil film to play a mother's role to Sriram and the film is likely to go to sets very soon. It is not known, who would be playing the female lead in that film.
