Raksha
is
taking
Telugu
film
industry
by
storm.
The
superb
cinematography,
editing
and
just
about
every
department
of
filmmaking
has
excelled
in
making
this
horror
flick
a
cinematic
and
box-office
success.
In
fact,
Ram
Gopal
Varma
(RGV)
has
set
some
very
high
standards
for
a
very
quality-conscious
industry
like
Telugu
film
industry.
Having
made
movies
in
all
genres
from
romantic
entertainers
like
Rangeela
(which
was
a
trend
setters
of
the
nineties)
to
gangster
movies
like
Company,
it
is
not
surprising
that
he
has
now
made
Phoonk.
Since,
by
his
own
confession,
RGV
is
out
of
touch
of
the
pulse
of
Telugu
film
audiences,
he
gave
the
direction
of
Raksha
to
debutant
director
Vamsi
Krishna
Akella.
RGV
is
now
making
a
film
on
the
media
and
another
on
the
life
of
sandalwood
smuggler
Veerappan.
Another
movie
based
on
the
factional
politics
(based
on
the
life
of
Paritala
Ravi)
in
the
state
is
also
in
the
discussion
stage.
The
script
work
is
in
progress
and
the
film
is
set
to
start
shooting
in
2009.
The
director
and
star
cast
are
yet
to
be
finalized.
