Ravi Teja's dupe drowned during shooting

Ravi Teja's dupe Mahendra Sharma, a stunt man, was drowned in the river Godavari in Andhra Pradesh during the shooting of Ravi Teja-Anushka starrer Telugu movie. The movie is directed by Uday Shanker and produced by Suresh Productions.

Mahendra, a junior artist in Telugu Cinema industry, was enacting the Ravi Teja's dupe role. He was supposed to be pushed by Anushka. He did not know swimming. As he was pushed into the river, he was drowned. His body was recovered after 24 hours at the other side of the river.

The film unit is still to come out of the shock. Shooting of the film has been stopped and film unit has turned back to Hyderabad.

Mahendra was 20 years old and this was his first attempt which turned into the end of his life. Junior Artists Association has promised 1 lakh as compensation to Mahendra's Family.
