The
recent
hit
Silandhi,
which
got
rave
reviews
from
film
critics
and
boosted
Monica's
fame
sky-high,
is
all
set
to
be
released
in
Telugu,
according
to
its
director
Aadhi.
With
a
journalistic
background,
the
debutant
director
did
not
settle
for
making
a
soft
romance
or
family
entertainer
for
his
maiden
movie
but
went
for
a
thrilling,
chilling
suspense-filled
flick.
Released
in
Tamil
Nadu
and
Kerala,
Silandhi
did
very
well,
so
well
that
the
producers
decided
to
release
the
film
in
Telugu
in
35
centres
with
the
title
Yera
Gullabhi.
Yera
Gullabhi
shares
the
same
title
as
Kamal
Hassan"s
Sivapu
Rojakkal,
another
blood-curdling
thriller,
which
was
also
released
in
Telugu.
Another
similarity
that
it
shares
with
the
cult
classic
is
that
both
Sridevi
and
Monica
had
glamorous
roles
in
their
respective
movies.
This
is
the
first
time
that
Monica
had
a
glam
role
on-screen
which
she
carried
off
very
well
to
the
delight
of
the
audiences.
