Thespian, Dr NT Ramarao, played the role of 'Bhishma" in his very prime age. Donning such a grand old man"s role was a challenge to him those days. After a long gap, his next generation hero and his son Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing hero in a film with the same title. Presented by Bellamkonda Padmavati and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh under the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions, the movie would be directed by Ramesh Varma and the film would start rolling from June 29.
Talking to the media, Suresh says, “You are all well aware that our banner has had a long association with Balakrishna and we had produced films like Chennakesava Reddy and Lakshmi Narasimha earlier. This would be the hattrick hit in our combination. We will announce the release date on the very first day of the shooting, i.e., on June 29. Though the title is 'Bhishma", it is a social film with action backdrop. Balakrishna would appear in a different and powerful role in this movie. The title would suit the subject and we are thankful to Krishnavamsi for giving us this title."
"The film would be in Balakrishna"s style and at the same time, the audiences can find a difference. The entire first half would be entertaining and the second half would be full of action drama. There is also a good amount of sentiment in the film. Balakrishna has watched Ride directed by our director Ramesh Varma and has complimented him. Soon he has given a nod to work with him. Our hat trick film would definitely meet the expectations of the audiences in general and Balakrishna fans in particular."
