All hopes pinned on Black Cat

Shooting of Black Cat directed and produced by Bangaru Bayyareddy under the banner of Padmavati Productions with Krishna Bhagawan and Sana in the lead was launched on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Director Sivaji Prasad gave the clap, while Vasu, who had produced Jaji Malle, switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on the lead artistes.

Speaking on the occasion, the producer-cum-director said, "We are planning to make the film a suspense thriller. This is the first film for me as a director and producer. The movement of the entire film is based on screenplay. I wish the film would earn me a good name."

Krishna Bhagawan commented, "I am playing a character different from routine in this movie." Devaraj is playing the hero, while Tirupati Prakash, Sriteja, Varnita, Ramakrishna and others are in the cast. Prem is scoring the music, lyrics are by Daddy Srinivas and Siva, while Babu Rao is presenting the film.
