Sivaji turns hero in Taj Mahal remake

Sivaji, who earned recognition as an artiste, turned a producer and purchased the remake rights of a successful Kannada film Taj Mahal and is making it in Telugu with the same title under his own banner Sri Sivaji Productions. The logo of the film was launched by Dr D Ramanaidu recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramanaidu said, “I too play a small role in this movie. I am very happy that Sivaji has chosen a title with which I produced a film few years ago. I wish this film too would be a big hit along the lines of its Kannada original."

Sivaji says, “I never expected that I would become a hero. But I dreamt of becoming famous one day since my childhood. Luck favoured me and I became a star. Likewise, I never thought of becoming a producer. But I was impressed with this Kannada film and turned a producer. I am introducing Arun Singaraju as director through this movie and I have been acquainted with him since I was doing Indumati. He has brought out the film well. Shooting part is complete and post-production works are in progress. We are launching the audio on November 2."

Director says, “When Sivaji told me to wield the megaphone for the film, I was shocked and was afraid of taking such a huge responsibility. But he encouraged me and boosted the courage in me. I am confident that the film would be the career-best for Sivaji."

Shruti is making her debut as heroine through the movie, while Kota Srinivasa Rao, Brahmanandam, Nazar, MS Narayana, Venumadhav, Raghubabu, LB Sriram, Jeeva, Chitram Sreenu, Vijay Sai and others are in the cast. Story is by R Chandru, dialogues are by Gangotri Viswanath, music is by Abhiman, and camera is by V Srinivasa Reddy, while Ramesh Boyinapalli is the executive producer.
