Vengamamba heading for the final lap

Meena is playing the title role in Vengamamba produced by V Doraswami Raju under the banner of VMC Productions under the direction of Udayabhaskar. Producer says, "We will start the third schedule from May 10. The second schedule was wrapped up by the end of April wherein we had shot two songs and some important scenes. A song - 'Tarajuvvanuraa.' - was shot on a Mumbai artiste Tasmina Sheik and other dancers in a specially erected set in Sarathi Studios, under the choreography of Tara.

Likewise, another song - 'Kondavela Yekkanatti Govindudu.' was shot on Meena and other dancers with the backdrop of Tarikonda Tirunallu. The third schedule will continue till June 15 with which we will wrap up the shooting. Keeravani is striving hard to make it a musical hit on the lines of Annamayya. We will launch the audio on June 7."

Saikiran, Saratbabu, Ranganath, LB Sriram, Rallapalli, Subbaraya Sarma, Gundu Hanumanta Rao, Giribabu, Velu, Anant, Chittibabu, Sudha, Sivaparvati, Ragini, Ashokkumar and others are in the cast. Lyrics are by Annamayya, Vengamamba, Veturi and Vedavyas, music is by Keeravani, while story, dialogues, screenplay and direction are by Udayabhaskar.
