died
of
heart
attack
on
Saturday
morning
at
his
Chennai
residence.
Padmanabham
was
78
and
he
suffered
a
heart
attack
while
reading
the
newspaper.
He
has
acted
over
400
films
in
Tamil
and
Telugu.
Basavaraja
Venkata
Padmanabha
Rao
was
born
in
August
21,
1931,
in
Simhadripuram,
Pulivendula,
Kadapa
to
Santham
and
Basavaraju
Venkata
Seshaiah.
He
started
off
his
career
as
a
theatre
artiste
and
entered
cine
industry
through
Krishna
Prema
in
1943.
He
has
worked
with
over
80
directors
and
his
last
movie
is
Tata
Birla
Madhyalo
Laila
which
was
released
in
2006.
Shavukaaru
,
Paatala
Bhairavi
Desoddhaarakudu
are
the
few
noted
films
of
Padmanabham.
He
is
the
producer
of
several
movies
like
Potti
Pleader,
Sri
Sri
Maryada
Ramanna,
Devatha
and
also
he
has
directed
eight
films
which
includes
Kathanayika
Molla,
Shri
Rama
Katha.
Kathanayika
Molla
won
the
AP
state
award
in
1969.
