Puri Jagannath's father Simhachalam passes away

Telugu film director-producer Puri Jagannath's father Petla Simhachalam passed away at Apollo Hospitals, Visakhapatnam on Monday (June 5). He was 66 and was survived by his wife and three children. Puri is the eldest son and the other two are actor Sairam Shankar and producer Ganesh.

Simhachalam was into film exbhition and had a touring talkies called 'Jagannath Touring Talkies'. He was suffering from a prolonged illness. The last rites will be performed at his home town in Narsipatnam (Vizag district) on Tuesday.
