Ajay playing Pawan Kalyan's sibling in Gabbar Singh

Actor Ajay has been signed to play the role of Pawan Kalyan's younger sibling in upcoming Telugu film Gabbar Singh, a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dabangg. He will be donning the role of an illiterate man played by Arbaaz Khan in the original.

Reports say that the makers of Dabangg was also considering Sushant but it was Ajay, who has won the race to bag the key role in Gabbar Singh. The movie bosses also have confirmed that Pawan Kalyan's childhood scenes will be enacted by Puri Jagannath's son Aakash and Abhimanyu Singh has been signed to play the role of Cheddi Singh, which was played by Sonu Sood in the Hindi version.

Gabbar Singh also features Shruti Hassan in the female lead role, which was played by Sonakshi Sinha in Dabangg. The movie directed by Harish Shankar has Devi Sri Prasad's music and produced by Ganesh Babu.
