Later, strange political developments in Andhra Pradesh kept him busy in politics but fans were still hopeful that the movie would materialize in the near future. Now, a sad news has arrived from a source that the movie is on the back burner.

The Stalin star has reportedly decided to postpone the proposed movie, which was tentatively Adhinayakudu, by a year. It is because of his Prajarajyam Party's merger with the Indian National Congress, which has given him additional responsibility to reunite the party workers in the state. Reports also claim that Chiranjeevi might get a cabinet birth in the coming months, which means he will be busy in politics.

Reacting to the reports on his films, the actor said that he never announced that he would return. It was just a wish of his to entertain his fans.
