Chiranjeevi ventures into media industry

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who entered politics in 2008 by forming Praja Rajyam, is all set to take a plunge into the media business. Now, he is reportedly aiming to promote himself and his party by entering into media business.

To start with, the veteran actor has already purchased a non-operational media named 'RK News". He will reactivate it to turn it into a full-fledged channel and also has plans to launch a newspaper followed by this news channel.

Ramakanth Vajpayee, brother of renowned news anchor Deepti Vajpayee of TV9, initially started the RK News. The Agri Gold Company, a popular food product, later acquired it. However, it was not officially launched and now Chiranjeevi will revive with his star power.

Earlier, his fellow politicians like YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhara Rao entered the media business and now its Chiru"s turn to make his mark in the media business.
