Despite getting moderate response from critics, Gopichand starrer Mogudu has got a decent opening at the Telugu Box Office. The movie, which was released last Friday, faced a tough competition from other movies like 7th Sense and Dookudu.
Traders say that Mogudu received somewhere around 55-65% occupancy on single screens but it failed to attract multiplex audience. It is said that 7th Sense, which has impressed the Andhra audience, and Mahesh Babu's Dookudu affected the last week release badly thereby reducing the collections of the recently released film.
If reports are to be believed, Mogudu has collected somewhere between Rs 2.5 to 3 crores in its weekend. Though the movie has not received positive response from the critics, the film has attracted the family audience, which is expected to work big time for the Telugu movie.
Mogudu starring Gopichand, Taapsee Pannu and Shraddha Das is a family-drama, which is said to be inspired by a real life incident.
