“I'm not a South Indian actress” - Kajal

Kajal Aggarwal is on cloud nine after bagging the female lead role in Bollywood movie Singham. The actress, who became a household name after the success of Magadheera, tells that she is not a South Indian actress.

Speaking to Mid-day, the actress, who has made it big in Telugu film industry, said, “I am a Mumbai girl who went down South, made it big and is now back to the place where I belong. I have not seen myself as a South Indian actress. I am a Punjabi girl."

The Arya 2 actress further adds that she is happy doing South films. She also credits Ram Charan Teja starrer Magadheera for getting her back to the Bollywood. Director Rohit Shetty, who saw her in the film, was impressed by her acting and roped in to play opposite Ajay Devgn in Singham.
