Telugu
film
makers
have
come
under
the
scanner
of
Income-Tax
department
again.
This
time,
I-T
sleuths
have
raided
the
offices
of
producers
like
Allu
Aravind,
Dil
Raju,
R
Venkat
and
Bellamkonda
Ramesh.
Reports
say
that
the
I-T
department
conducted
the
raid
on
Allu
Aravind's
Geetha
Arts,
Dil
Raju's
Sri
Venkateswara
films,
Bellamkonda
Ramesh's
Sri
Sai
Ganesh
Movie
and
R
Venkat
owned
RR
Movie
Makers
office
on
Monday
morning.
The
bigwigs
have
been
evading
service
tax
from
past
one
year.
According
to
sales-tax
rules,
a
producer-distributor
has
to
pay
10.3
%
tax
per
film.
As
they
have
not
paid
the
mandatory
tax
for
their
respective
films,
the
I-T
officials
raided
their
offices.
It
may
be
recalled
that
in
March
2011,
Nagarjuna,
Anushka
Shetty
and
Ravi
Teja's
residence
were
raided
by
the
Income
Tax
officials,
as
they
found
some
irregularities
in
their
advance
tax
assessment
of
these
actors.
