Jai Bolo Telangana - Movie Preview

Jai Bolo Telangana is director N.Shankar"s take on the history of the region, which has its mention in the Indian epic story the Ramayana. The filmmaker had said that he will cast only actors who belong to the disputed region of Andhra Pradesh because they will be able to relate to the sentiments attached to the film.

However, N.Shankar seems to have forgotten about his word and he has cast Jagapathi Babu in the lead. Though Babu is a Telugu film actor, he does not hail from the Telangana and therefore is not associated with its turbulent history. In Jai Bolo Telangana, the actor plays a freedom fighter, who will be part of the peasant revolt that rocked the state of Andhra in the late 1940s and early 1950s.

Also joining Jagapathi in the star cast of the film is actress Smriti Irani, who plays the role of Telangana Talli in the film. N Shankar had impressed the audience and critics with his previous ventures and Jai Bolo Telangana is also expected to do the same.
