Ratnam
for
his
historical
film.
Now,
it
is
confirmed
that
the
actor
has
agreed
to
be
part
of
the
film.
Mahesh
Babu
met
Mani
Ratnam
on
Sunday
at
his
residence
in
Chennai
and
discussed
about
the
script.
The
overwhelmed
actor
after
meeting
the
director
Tweeted,
“My
dream
is
comin
true
finally..I
will
be
working
in
a
Mani
Ratham
film.1of
d
happiest
days
of
my
life:)."
According
to
sources,
actors
Vijay
or
Vikram
will
be
playing
the
main
lead
in
the
film.
It
was
recently
reported
that
the
former
has
signed
to
play
the
role
of
Vandiyathevan,
a
prince
from
the
Bana
dynasty.
But
the
makers
of
the
film
are
yet
to
make
it
official.
The
movie
is
the
screen-adaptation
of
the
Tamil
historical
novel
'Ponniyin
Selvan',
which
was
written
by
Kalki
Krishnamurthy.
Ilaiyaraaja
will
be
scoring
the
music
and
it
will
be
produced
by
Sun
Pictures.
