Producer C Kalyan arrested

South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce President and producer C Kalyan has been arrested on charges of cheating and threatening people. It comes as a no surprise, as his close aide and producer Singanamala Ramesh was arrested recently for the same.

Reports say that C Kalyan had business connection with warlord Maddelacheruvu Suri and Bhanu, the alleged killer of Suri. Using their contacts, he cheated Shalimar Video Company Rs 34.75 lakh over Komaram Puli and Mahesh Khaleja's audio and video rights. He also threatened the managing director of the company, when he demanded him to payback the money.

It is said that the cops might question him about his connection with Maddelacheruvu Suri and Bhanu. Meanwhile, Singanamala Ramesh, who evaded arrest for a few months, is in police custody.
